The Pandemic Covid -19

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the Indians at large. The poor in the state of Andhra Pradesh (India) have weak access to information, healthcare and livelihood.

The poor, mainly engaged as daily wage laborers in the unorganized sector, are bearing disproportionate brunt of the economic fallout of this unprecedented health emergency.

Over the past months of lockdown, the people in rural Slums of Narsapur, Perupalem, Mogalturu, Kalipatnam (our mission inclined areas) have lost their daily income and are forced to remain indoors without work. While very few of them managed to purchase supplies, many are still unable to gather resources and they are starving without job and way to live.

Worst affected are the children, old aged & disabled in this community. Each family has got up to 3 to 4 young children who are living in extremely poor and unhygienic conditions. Their nutrition, health, wellbeing and security is the first thing to be compromised during such a crisis.

LBM India Reacts to Covid-19

Distributed Ration Bags to the Lockdown Victims who are very poor, unemployed and badly hit by Covid lock down. Each bag consists of Rice, Dal and Oil.

We distributed Double Layered Face Masks stitched by our very own tailoring teachers.

We have provided Hand Sanitizers to villagers who live in far away places close to the Bay of Bengal Coastline.
